THE three S.L.I.M.M.S. PROCEDURES

THE S.L.I.M.M.S.® METABOLIC PROCEDURE COMBINED GASTRIC SLEEVE AND BYPASS DEVELOPED BY DR. BRIAN QUEBBEMANN

The S.L.I.M.M.S. Metabolic Procedure combines the two best bariatric procedures in the world, the Gastric Sleeve and the Gastric Bypass, into one surgery.

Step One

Perform Gastric Sleeve for removal of the Ghrelin-producing portion of stomach. Decrease hunger.

Step Two

Perform the first step in the Gastric Bypass, to create a small stomach. Providing the feeling of “fullness” with small meals.

Step Three

Perform the second step in the Gastric Bypass. Now the SLIMMS Metabolic procedure is complete. Goals: a permanent decrease in appetite and a permanent feeling of fullness with small meals.

THE S.L.I.M.M.S.® LIFESTYLE PROCEDURE A REVERSIBLE GASTRIC SLEEVE PLUS ANTI-REFLUX TECHNIQUE DEVELOPED BY DR. BRIAN QUEBBEMANN

The S.L.I.M.M.S. Lifestyle Procedure is for people who want to lose as little as twenty-five extra pounds for cosmetic and lifestyle reasons! A new solution for intelligent people looking for permanent weight loss and a fitness lifestyle.

Step One

Perform a reversible gastric sleeve procedure

Step Two

Pass the top of the stomach behind the lower part of the esophagus. This is the first step in a “fundoplication” for reflux and heartburn.

Step Three

Wrap the top of the stomach around the lower esophagus to prevent reflux.

Step Four

Completed SLIMMS Lifestyle Secure the fundoplication with stitches. Result; Instead of permanent removal of normal stomach, and a high risk for heartburn, this is a reversible sleeve procedure that prevents heartburn.

THE S.L.I.M.M.S.® COSMETIC PROCEDURE A REVERSIBLE GASTRIC SLEEVE FOR COSMETIC WEIGHT LOSS DEVELOPED BY DR. BRIAN QUEBBEMANN

A Reversible Gastric Sleeve Procedure
Result; Instead of permanent removal of normal stomach for severe obesity, this is a reversible sleeve procedure for cosmetic improvement
Also referred to as The SexyGirlProcedure™ or The SexyGuyProcedure™

People want a weight loss procedure that works for cosmetic reasons. Tummy tuck and Liposuction do not help with weight loss, and tummy tuck involves very large incisions, and a long recovery. The SLIMMS Cosmetic Procedure is performed using minimally invasive techniques, is a true weight loss procedure, is reversible, and is done as an outpatient. Dr. Quebbemann believes this procedure is a true weight loss procedure that can help you get the body you want.

No. Studies show that people can lose an average of 15% of their body weight when they take these medications and regain weight if they stop. People can lose more than 50% of their body weight after surgery, or more.

Published studies say there is not. Several centers worldwide have removed the entire stomach during gastric bypass surgery to prevent stomach cancer. Even though these centers remove more stomach than happens with the S.L.I.M.M.S.® Metabolic Procedure, they have reported that surgical risks are no higher than performing a standard gastric bypass.

Yes. Yo-Yo dieting is not only psychologically difficult, but people lose lean muscle mass when they diet, and then regain only fat. The result if that repeated weight loss attempts, followed by weight regain, will decrease your metabolism.

No. Liposuction simply removes a small amount of fat for body contouring purposes. Without significant changes in diet and exercise, patients that have undergone liposuction will regain that body fat, often in a different, and potentially ugly way.

DON'T JUST TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT

S.L.I.M.M.S.® METABOLIC PROCEDURE

The S.L.I.M.M.S.® Metabolic Procedure combines the two best bariatric procedures in the world, the Gastric Sleeve and the Gastric Bypass, into one surgery. Invented by Dr. Quebbemann, the goal is to have a more successful metabolic procedure. The combination results in,

  • A powerful full feeling with small meals (the bypass effect)
  • A powerful decrease in the appetite hormone Ghrelin (the sleeve effect)
  • S.L.I.M.M.S. Metabolic stands for Surgically Limit Intake Manage Metabolic Syndrome. This procedure was specifically invented for individuals that want to dramatically improve their metabolism. An improved metabolism can result in:

    • Weight Loss
    • Lower Cholesterol
    • Lower Blood Pressure
    • Lower Triglycerides
    • Resolution of PCOS
    • Resolution of Diabetes
    • Increased Testosterone in Men
    • Better Hormone Balance in Women
    • Improved Immune System
    • Prevention of Weight Regain
    • Better Sleep
    • Improved Fertility
    • Higher Sex Drive
    • More Energy
Why Combine the Sleeve and the Bypass:

The Gastric Sleeve procedure results in a permanent decrease in the hunger hormone Ghrelin. However, over time, most people can eat a lot more because the stomach enlarges. Some people are able to maintain their weight loss, but a large percentage of people (some experts estimate over 50%) regain too much weight after a sleeve. Diabetes and other metabolic conditions can return as well.

The Gastric Bypass often results in a permanent feeling of fullness with smaller meals. However, over time the hunger hormone Ghrelin increases, and so does appetite. As a result, a significant percentage ofpeople regain more weight than they want over time.

    >Dr. Quebbemann wanted his patients to benefit from both a permanent decrease in Ghrelin, and a permanent feeling of fullness after small meals. He achieved this by combining the two procedures. The S.L.I.M.M.S. ® Metabolic Procedure offers The Power of Combined.

    Safety of both procedures combined:

Some people ask if it is safe to have both procedures, the gastric bypass and the gastric sleeve. The answer is yes. Thousands of people in North America have undergone gastric sleeve and later converted to a gastric bypass when they regained weight, developed diabetes, or developed severe GERD. These patients have both a gastric sleeve and a gastric bypass, similar to the S.L.I.M.M.S.® Metabolic Procedure. In addition, several surgery centers around the world have reported that there is no increase in complications when they remove the entire stomach during a bypass operation. The S.L.I.M.M.S.® Metabolic Procedure does not involve removing the entire bypassed stomach.
